Chimney Sweep time

Another very busy week, with me having Flu and trying to get on with paid work and classes.

It was that time of the year to sweep the chimney. So Lucy helped with the camera and I got the brushes ready to go.

I'd not don't it in a while and it really needed doing. So out with the brush & rods to get it all cleaned, ready for the Winter months.

You can join me and watch the video here https://youtu.be/PGYA5hL6nW4

It also includes evening class work, wet plate camera repairs and of course the chimney being swept and a few other clips of things, going on.

See you soon.

Carving Letters into Ash Seats - Leg Issues - Ep. 8.

I get asked to make all sorts of things.
And the one area I've loved about #woodworking for a number of years, is Carving letters, words, numbers & names.

Woodworking is a great way to make a living. Not the easiest way in the UK. But at least it does get easier with practice.

The most important part is to get the layout right, the font and lastly and most importantly the grain direction.

In this video I show you how I carve letters.

But thats after going through some of the problems I've had with Peter Galberts drilling jig for legs.

Let me know what you think about what I've covered in this video
