Foxed.. Using wedges to correct a problem

Trying to do too much Woodworking in the evening workshop.

These leg angles were wrong (it's not for a customer) I had some assistance but, I really should have kept the job for later, on my own.

So, I had a second go and Foxed the legs.

With the way the holes were re-drilled, I had no option with getting grain correct on the legs or the block of wood.

The good thing is I kept the drill at the aperture exactly the same as it was on the first attempted hole.

Next, the block is so big that grain direction isn't as important as it would be if it was 1" thick.
So, I wasn't worried about splitting of the block. It was the leg split I was worried about. And the depth of the hole was deeper than the tenon. So it was super tight at the aperture.
It took a bit more thought but I managed to get the look I wanted.
