Episode 5 - Sharpening - A box in clamps - Turning 8 sided legs.

In this episode we cover how I cramp up a small box with dovetails to ensure the best results from the glue-up.

Then my Preston One-4 needs sharpening, as well as my Stanley no4.

Then I'm testing the sharpness of the planes on the legs of one of the bench seats legs. A 1mm taper to the top sounds fussy; but it really makes the difference.

And lastly I turn two legs in real time. Showing how I use a marking jig, showing the way I ensure the piece goes on and off the lathe to ensure it's repeatability and consistency.
