A Murmuration of Rooks

I filmed this very short clip of a Parliament of Rooks in Murmuration just before they settle for the night.

Watch the two minute video here

Out of a weeks worth of watching and understanding what they were doing and when. It all started to make sense.

'8 x Six' episode 2 Panels & Shelves

Welcome back to the '8 x Six' Studio.

In this episode I'm moving forward with shelving, much needed lights for the winter months.

Watch the video here

I also show how I restored the finish on an Oak Chest, that looks absolutely wonderful when it was finished and ready to go home.

I have door lock problems, and then show a rare sight of Rooks going through a type of murmuration before settling in for the night.

Lots of other things including how the Wednesday night guys are getting on with their stools.

Shed & Shelving 8 x Six Studio

I really needed to get better organised, I suppose we all do. A tidy up, throwing things out, some to charities, on Ebay & Free cycle etc.

My shed was calling out again. Things needed to move from house to shed, kitchen to garage and do on.

Well in this first episode I start some of the moving around and shelving is the order of the day.

How I set up heights, depths according to what I have lying around and other factors. The fact that the shed is already insulated helps a lot. I've really invested some time in here and it just needs a bit more lining and shelving can go ahead.

Let me know what you think in the comments under the video. That way we share knowledge, experience and ideas.

Thank you for your support

See you next week

Briquettes - A New Way?

There's been a few people write in the comments about other ways to firm briquettes.

In this video here I go through how the briquettes were formed and the resulting issues.

Could this 'wet' method suit you?
Since the video was posted yesterday I've had a couple of people mention using cloth or paper in the tub first!

Extraction seems to be the biggest issue.

What do you think would improve it.

Comments welcome below the video, so everyone can see them and add their bit.

Thanks for the support

See you next week.
