New No-Press method for briquettes 2025

A New method that I'm trying out. A number of you have been telling me to try this out.

So here's a No Press method of making Coffee Briquettes or Coffee logs to burn on my Log burner to save on fuel bills.

I've been making briquettes for over 11 years now and over that time I've developed the best recipe and technique. This is how to make coffee briquettes Using waste #coffee these homemade #coffeelogs burn for over two hours.

[edit] I've been asked to put the recipe in here. By volume (as the dust and shavings don't weigh much and the Coffee grounds are damp)

This is as close as I believe.

45% Wood shavings
35% Coffee Grounds
10% Fine wood dust
10% Water

As woodworking gets more popular, we should be more responsible for the waste from our workshops.

And remember it's better to make your own rather than go to Tesco to buy them.

Pattern or Template A Stool - How to Reverse Engineer a stool

This wonderful Stool I made a number of years ago has come back to have a refresh.

So I'm taking the time to Pattern or Template (depending on your use of the words) the stool in order to recreate and make more of this great design. #woodworking is wonderful.

You can reverse engineer any piece of furniture if you follow this simple method. 

Pattern making or Template making, is for me, the most wonderful way to capture the essence of the piece. Along with this video and photographs I can reproduce this style and to the same dimensions.
