A whole 'Can of Worms'
When did they change the blade sizes on No.5 & a half planes? Did you even know about this?
I've wanted to build a no.5.5 plane for a good while now. And when I tried my new old stock;
'Smoothcut - laminated steel - made in Japan' plane blade into the body, it didn't fit.. And I was flumuxed. So this whole journey started.
Sorby, Preston, Marples, Record and others, including Stanley in the USA had changed their blade widths at some point in time.
