Carrying the seat along the tow path

Carrying the finished Curved seat via a Tow Path walk.. Crazy really.

Well, I thought, it's less than a mile and because it's along the tow path beside the canal, it's not going to take long and the seat isn't heavy.

Not heavy to move around in the workshop. But under an arm and walking down the road to the canal I got a few funny looks. We're not used to seeing people carry things anymore. 

Most deliveries are by lorry, van or car. But I just thought the weather is nice, the Sun is shining, and it would save petrol, a car on the road. All of the 'right things to do'. Save the planet and all that.

Curved seating.. from the start

I was asked to make some seating.. Seats, benches.. call them what you will. 

With a 2.75 metre radius on the back of the seat that will just touch the curved wall of this wonderful little building, on this amazing site that's bring rebuilt, re-imagined and resurrected.

A wonderful commission at just the right time.. And there's a pretty cool curvature going on.
