This was a briquettes collaboration with Darren of @AbellTo on YouTube.
We did an unboxing of Darren's bench mounted Multimate briquette Press and looked at how the first briquettes can be made. New wood shavings just doesn't work for me anymore. Chainsaw chippings, planer chipping and saw dust can be used but the bigger they are, they do hinder the compact nature of a briquette.
Then onto how I create my briquettes from my workshop waste that I leave for weeks to decompose, like Peat or compost. Then make the briquettes and allow to dry out. After 3 weeks drying, I then take home and burn on my Log burner. With great results. The heat is up to 30% hotter and last over two hours easily.
One bag of shavings from my dust collection bag makes approximately 120 blocks. I also throw in tea bags, used coffee grinds (anywhere from 0 to 80% used Coffee grounds)
Thanks for stopping by.
