Stanley folding pocket knife

I've had this Stanley knife for about 8 years now and because its been used a lot more recently I thought it was time to share Stanleys best kept Secret.

The Stanley 0 10 958 Folding Pocket knife is not only good for marking with squares or sliding bevels, I use it for carving in some details, especially letter Carving.

One method of fitting bases to boxes

I've got 25 boxes to make. So I make them as accurately as possible.

There's a few tips in here for you. Some you might already do, some might be new to you.
Anyhow this is how I do it when I'm up against the clock.

As you can see I fit the base to the box while the box is settled into the inner corner of a square. Try it, it makes a huge difference.

In the video I also share info on some of my tools.

Sharpening Secateurs if you've never sharpened anything before..

Secateurs are a great edge tool to get started with sharpening. Its a tool you can strip down if you have the tools or just struggle a bit to get a stone into the cutting edge. Either way, you will notice a difference. And if you follow my guidelines, then it will be worth the effort.

I find that once people understand the fundamentals of the two edges and how they work with each other, the penny has dropped. Most things that need sharpening will be a piece of cake. Try shears after this. Practice on neighbours shears, friends or relatives. Just get sharpening. Don't try scissors just yet though. They're a few steps up. Give it time. Then try on an old pair of scissors that are really blunt or have a knick in them.
